WTF Fridays: Regurgitator

I've been on a HUGE MST3K kick recently and today when I accidentally came across this amazing video I just had to share it with you guys! The music video below is from up and coming Australian rock band Regurgitator's and showcases their new track "No Show". The video includes real scenes/footage from the classic Gamera film "Gamera vs. Guiron", but thanks to Regurgitator we can now see the classic monster flick in a totally new light. The revamped video footage includes neon paint, flashing lights and lots of fun. So get ready for 3 minutes of explosive action, cheesy monsters and a hellaciously catchy tune!

Movie Mondays: The Muppets

I just got back home from seeing the new Muppets movie and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The film features a great cast and has several unexpected and hilarious cameos from the likes of Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianakis and Kristen Schaal. I was never really a fan on the Muppets when I was a kid, but this movie really made me wish I was! It was smart, hilarious AND hopelessly adorable! Of course nothing less was expected from British film director James Bobin (Flight of The Conchords) and oh my god was the music a lot of fun. I can already see myself secretly humming "Are You a Man or a Muppet?" to myself for the next week. So if you haven't seen it yet....hurry up! Trust me, you'll love it.

P.S. I found this picture by accident and thought it was hilarious. ;)

Blogging Fiend

Alright everybody! I have some good news. I'm finally at a point now where I can dedicate a little more time into this blog. From here on out I will not just be strictly talking business, but will aim to focus on a little bit of everything. That being said there will still be lots of shop updates, secret sale info, new project announcements etc. thrown in the mix about my two etsy's.

Right now my current goal is to incorporate the daily themes listed below:

Movie Mondays: Each week I will post something film related and discuss it. It might be a little review or blurp about the film or it could just be sharing an awesome music video.

Workaholic Wednesdays: This will be for mid-week "how-to's", recipes and craft ideas.

WTF Fridays: Friday fun day! Each week will be something different. You'll never know what's coming next. ;)

And that's it for now. Hope you guys are excited for some new changes around here. If you have any theme ideas please feel free to post them below! Thanks!

RIP Ingrid Pastorius 1950-2011

Today I'd like to remember a beautiful, loving and overall wonderful person. It's been just over a week now and I miss you more than ever Ingrid Pastorius, but I know deep down you are happier now with Jaco by your side. You were an amazing person and I'm glad I got as much time with you as I did. Thank you for being like a mother to me all these years. I would not be the same person if I had not had such a strong and compassionate female figure to look up to my whole life. May you live on forever.

Announcing....My new side project!!

Hey everybody! As you know I make my own jewelry on etsy (via hobbit.town) and misc. arts and crafts (via sinsperations). So if you are a fan of either of them you'll be pleased to know that I've started a side project amongst friends called "Art Blog Sketch Attack". Each month we will be assigned a theme (voted by you) and we will have to create one unique art piece that captures the chosen theme perfectly. We are set to launch mid-December and our first theme is "Famous Firsts".

Stay tuned for more information and updates on this. For now you can check us out here:
